Quicken Installation Cannot Make Program Item

SUMMARY

The Quicken version 2.0 installation program installs all of its files and then displays a message explaining that it cannot create the necessary program item in Program Manager. If this occurs, manually create a program item by following the instructions in the Quicken manual. This problem mainly occurs on x86-based machines.
