Golf: Setup Errors Occur When Other Applications Are Loaded

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Golf's setup program may not run correctly on the Hewlett-Packard (HP) OmniBook 300 with only 2 megabytes (MB) of memory. One of the following error messages may be generated:

Microsoft Test Driver (ds) Error
Scantime error:
Out of memory for $INCLUDE file
-or-
runtime _mstest driver (dumb shell)
Cannot initialize Parser


WORKAROUND

To successfully run the Microsoft Golf Setup on a 2-MB OmniBook, make sure that you exit all other currently running applications.
