The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARYPage 197 of the "Function Reference," version 4.0, and page 109 of the "Function Reference," version 3.0, state that the GET.DOCUMENT(36) macro function returns the name of the user with current write privileges to the document. This information is only partially correct. This function works correctly only when you use it with a document that is saved with write privileges and is opened by a single user in a single instance of Microsoft Excel.
MORE INFORMATIONThe GET.DOCUMENT(36) function will correctly return the name of the user with write privileges to the document if the following conditions are met:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel version 5.0.
