Arguments that are numbers, empty cells, logical values, or text representations of numbers are counted; arguments that are error values or text that cannot be translated into numbers are ignored.This information is incorrect. Only arguments that are numbers are counted. Empty cells, logical values, text representations of numbers, error values, and text that cannot be translated into numbers are ignored. This same documentation error occurs on page 162 of the "Function Reference," version 3.0.
