SYMPTOMS

You cannot install Windows NT or Windows NT Advanced Server on an Intel L486 Series Professional Workstation.

CAUSE

Your computer has an out-dated BIOS, usually version 1.003.

RESOLUTION

Upgrade your BIOS to the latest version available. The current version, as of August 30, 1993, is 1.007.
