SUMMARY
The Proteon P1392 network interface card (NIC) is not compatible with
the driver for the Proteon P1390 originally included with Windows NT.
If you use a P1392 network card with the original driver for the
P1390, the computer may stop responding (hang) either during the
driver initialization or after the binding is complete.
According to Proteon technical support, the Proteon P1390 NIC is
discontinued and is being replaced by the P1392. A Windows NT driver
for the P1392 is now available and can be downloaded from the
Microsoft Windows NT Driver Library (P139XX.EXE) on the Microsoft
Download Service (MSDL) at (425) 936-MSDL (6735). This driver can also
be downloaded from the Proteon BBS (39NT.EXE) at (508) 366-7827.
The P1392 network card is manufactured by Proteon, a vendor
independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise,
regarding this products' performance or reliability.
