SYMPTOMS
When you copy a linked object from Publisher 2.0 to another
application, the link is lost. The ability to copy and paste linked
objects while retaining the original link is a feature supported by Object
Linking and Embedding (OLE) 2.0. However, Publisher 2.0 will break the link when
pasting into another application, even if the application supports OLE 2.0.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in
Microsoft Publisher 98.
