SYMPTOMS
If you press CTRL+C during the operation of the PORTUAS program, user
modals, such as the minimum password length and the password history,
are not changed to their final values.
CAUSE
PORTUAS sets all user modals to temporary values initially. When it
finishes, it assigns them final values. If you press CTRL+C, it keeps
the temporary values.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S.
Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
