SYMPTOMS

If you try to find a compressed driver file by using the Browse option in the Drivers portion of Control Panel, a message appears informing you that the file was not found. This is a problem in the Browse option; it cannot find compressed files.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
