SYMPTOMS
When you use a Windows system hot-key combination, characters are
incorrectly received by the application in focus. For example: If Command
Prompt is in focus and you press CTRL+SPACE to switch to another
application, a space appears on the current command line in Command Prompt.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S.
Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. For
