SYMPTOMS
========

When you try to import graphics into Microsoft Publisher 2.0, you may
receive a message saying:

   Can't Convert Pictures

   Publisher doesn't recognize the format of the picture you want to
   add. Publisher has graphics converters that allow it to recognize
   most pictures' formats. Some of these converters may be missing.
   Run the Setup program again and select Custom Installation to
   install converters for word processors and graphics. Press F1 now
   if you want more information on running Setup.

This may occur even if the filters are reinstalled and other
applications, such as Microsoft Word 2.0, can convert the same
graphics.

RESOLUTION
==========

Remove from the [MS Graphic Import Filters] section of the WIN.INI
file any entries that are not standard Microsoft graphic import
filters.

MORE INFORMATION
================

In the [MS Graphic Import Filters] section of WIN.INI, there may be an
entry for a non-Microsoft filter for that type of graphic. If this
entry precedes the regular Microsoft graphic filter entry for the same
graphic type, Publisher will not be able to import that type of
graphic.

For example, Hijaak Pro will install duplicate filters for many
graphic types.
