Introduction
------------

The ESCP2E.PRD printer driver on the enclosed DW0580 disk supports the
following Epson printers:

   Epson AP-3250/LQ-100
   Epson Stylus 800
   Epson Stylus 1000
   Epson AP-5000+/LQ-570+
   Epson AP-5000+/LQ-570
   Epson AP-5500/LQ-1070
   Epson LQ/SQ-870
   Epson LQ/SQ-1170

To Install the ESCP2E.PRD Printer Driver
----------------------------------------

1. Quit Word.

2. Insert the enclosed DW0580 disk in the appropriate floppy disk
   drive.

3. At the MS-DOS prompt, type the following and press the ENTER key

      copy <drive>:\escp2e.prd <pathname>

   where <drive> is the drive where you inserted the DW0580 disk and
   <pathname> is the location of your Word program directory. For
   example, if the DW0580 disk is in drive A and your Word directory
   is on drive C and is named WORD, type the following and press the
   ENTER key:

      copy a:\escp2e.prd c:\word

4. Start Word and select the new driver by choosing Printer Setup from
   the File menu.

   a. In the Files list, select ESCP2E.PRD.

   b. In the Printer Name box, select your printer.

   c. Modify other settings as necessary. If you have multiple printers
      attached to your computer, make sure the Connect To box shows the
      port to which your Epson printer is attached.

   d. Choose OK.
