Windows for Workgroups

This package contains the complete software package for machines that do not have Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.0 or 3.1. It contains all the Microsoft Windows for Workgroups software, including Windows 3.1 functionality, file sharing, printer sharing, network dynamic data exchange (DDE), Microsoft Mail, Microsoft Schedule+, Microsoft At Work PC Fax, Remote Access Services, 32-bit file and disk access, and advanced security. This package does not include any hardware.

Workgroup Add-On for Windows

This package is for machines that already have Microsoft Windows version 3.1 or Microsoft Windows for Workgroups version 3.1 installed. It upgrades Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.1 by adding those files required for the new features of Windows for Workgroups 3.11.

NOTE: The Add-On package disables standard mode; the WIN.COM file was rewritten to turn off this functionality.

This package does not include any hardware.
