TrueType Fonts Do Not Print Kerned |
Q107227
If you format a font with the Kerning For Fonts option selected, the output on the screen will accurately represent the kerning option applied, but the fonts may not print out kerned. (To locate the Kerning For Fonts option, choose Font from the Format menu, and select the Character Spacing tab.)
If the kerning points size set in the Points And Above box is not set equal to the point size of the font, the fonts do not print out kerned. Instead of serving as a threshold, as intended, this setting serves as a fixed value.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word for Windows. This problem was corrected in versions 6.0a or later of Word for Windows.
Set the Points And Above option equal to the point size the font was
formatted for.
