Works 2.0 for Windows Cannot Read Word 6.0 for Windows Files

SUMMARY

Word version 6.0 for Windows shares many of its text converters with Microsoft Works for Windows, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Publisher, PowerPoint, and Works for Windows version 3.0 can read Word 6.0 files using the Word 6.0 converter (the Word 6.0 converter, MSWORD6.CNV, is installed by Word 6.0 for Windows), but Works for Windows version 2.0 cannot.

Works 2.0 for Windows will issue a "Cannot Load Conversion Files" error message when attempting to open a Word 6.0 for Windows file, as it is not able to use unidirectional converters.
