SYMPTOMS

A LAN Manager workstation generates MS-DOS Error 55 when you NET USE to a remote server running Windows NT or Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1 over a Token Ring network with Source Routing Bridges. A Windows NT workstation will not experience this problem.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
