Setup: Some COMPAQ Qvision Video Adapters Are Not Detected

SYMPTOMS

Windows NT Setup may not recognize your COMPAQ Qvision video adapter (EISA versions). This is because the TXTSETUP.INF file is hard-coded for a specific Qvision adapters (CPQ3011); newer Qvision adapters have new names.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
