Disk Media Format Error During Setup

SYMPTOMS

The following error message appears during setup:
The setup program has determined that installation may be halted due to an installation diskette issue - if error #(?) occurs, consult README.TXT in the Microsoft Disk Media Format for assistance.

CAUSE

Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1 do not support Microsoft Disk Media Format (DMF).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
