Embedded Document Doesn't Load When Double-clicked

SYMPTOMS

If you try to load an embedded document by double-clicking its icon in Microsoft Mail, it does not load into its associate application.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by a bug in File Manager. File Manager incorrectly modifies a portion of the Registry that controls the loading of embedded documents.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
