SYMPTOMS
The Windows NT network redirector can cause some performance problems under
certain situations. These situations are most noticeable when you run
Microsoft Mail or Microsoft Access. The redirector pauses for as long as
three seconds after closing a file it has written to before it releases the
write cache.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S.
