SYMPTOMS

After you have been running Windows NT for a while, your computer stops responding (hangs) with a STOP message:

REGISTRY_ERROR 0x00000000, 0x00000000

CAUSE

The above message appears when memory was freed in Windows NT, but was not allocated.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server.
