SYMPTOMS
When you drag an object from Excel 5.0 for Windows into Word 6.0 for
Windows, you can drop the object into a protected area of the document.
CAUSE
As expected, you can drag an object from Excel into an unprotected area of
a Word document. However, if you drag the object from Excel into the
results of a field in a protected area, the object is inserted immediately
following the field. This can modify the protected area of a document.
STATUS
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in
the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
