XL5: Longer Tips Do Not Appear in Bold Text |

The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARYIn Microsoft Excel version 5.0, TipWizard tips are usually displayed in bold. However, tips that exceed a certain length are displayed in a regular typeface, rather than in bold. This is by design.
MORE INFORMATIONSome tips cannot be displayed in bold type because the size of the TipWizard box is fixed. Bold text uses more space than regular text; therefore, a tip that is too long to fit in the box in bold type is shown in regular text. For example, the following tip will appear in bold:
Instead of clicking the AutoSum button, you can also press ALT+= (equal sign).However, the following tip, because it will not fit in the TipWizard Box in bold, will appear in regular text:
For line charts only, you can choose Options from the Tools menu, and then specify on the Charting tab whether you want blanks and errors omitted, treated as zeros, or interpolated into the chart. |
