PRB: Size To Fit Form Command Not Available

SYMPTOMS

Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.

When you are viewing a form in Form view, the Size To Fit Form command on the Window menu is unavailable.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if the form is maximized. When a form is maximized, its size is tied to the size of the Microsoft Access application window. If the Size To Fit Form command were available at this time, you would be altering the size of the Microsoft Access program window rather than the size of your form.

RESOLUTION

Restore the Form window to its non-maximized size. The Size To Fit Form command will be available.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

Open the sample database Northwind.mdb (or NWIND.MDB. in versions 1.x and 2.0)
Open the Customers form in Form view.
Maximize the Customers form.
Open the Window menu. Note that the Size To Fit Form command is not available.
