Removing Printer from Print Manager Doesn't Remove/Delete Driver

SYMPTOMS
If you attempt to remove a printer in Print Manager because the printer
driver file is corrupt and then attempt to recreate the printer, the
printer driver file will again be corrupt.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because removing a printer from Print Manager does not
result in the printer driver file being removed from the hard disk.
RESOLUTION
To avoid this problem, manually delete the printer driver from the hard
disk before you attempt to recreate the printer in Print Manager.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post
new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes
available.
