WD: Picture Moved to Unexpected Location Using DisassemblePicture |
Q110009
The DrawDisassemblePicture command, when performed on a graphic object inside a frame in Word, moves the frame and picture to an unexpected location.
The DrawDisassemblePicture command is designed to break metafile pictures into individual drawing objects, similar to ungrouping a graphic that was built with Word 6.0 drawing tools. If the selected graphic is a bitmap image, not a metafile, the command should put the graphic into a text box on the drawing layer. However, if the graphic is inside a frame, the graphic and frame are relocated to an unpredictable location on the screen.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
The DrawDisassemblePicture command is not included on any standard menu or toolbar. It is a part of the WordBasic programming language and can be assigned to a menu or toolbar.
