Some Objects Don't Print with HPPCL5E.DRV on LaserJet 4 |
Q110071
When you print to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet Series 4 printer, some objects (including drawing-layer objects, objects inserted as icons, and colored text) may not be printed.
This problem occurs if the version of the HPPCL5E.DRV printer driver is 31.v1.20 or earlier and the Graphics Mode option is set to Raster.
To correct this problem, upgrade the HPPCL5E.DRV printer driver to version
31.v1.26 or later, and set the Graphics Mode option to HP-GL/2. To obtain
an updated HP LaserJet 4/4M driver, contact the Hewlett-Packard Fulfillment
Center at (303) 353-7650 or Hewlett-Packard Technical Support at (208) 323-
2551.
After you install the driver, set the Graphics Mode option to HP-GL/2 by
choosing Print from the File menu, choosing the Options button, and then
choosing Options again. In the Graphics Mode box, select HP-GL/2, and then
choose OK.
The HPPCL5E.DRV printer driver is manufactured by Hewlett-Packard, a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.
