FIX: First Record Duplicated Throughout Maximized Browse

SYMPTOMS

The first record is duplicated throughout a maximized Browse window after you open a second Browse window and the View window.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro 2.5 for Windows. This problem was corrected in FoxPro 2.5a for Windows.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

1. Assuming FoxPro is installed in a directory named FOXPROW on drive C,

   issue the following code in the Command window:

      SET DEFAULT TO C:\FOXPROW\TUTORIAL
      SELECT 1
      USE customer
      BROWSE

   following code:

      SELECT 2
      USE invoices
      BROWSE

4. From the Window menu, choose View.

5. Click in the Invoices Browse window to bring it to the foreground.

6. Close the Invoices Browse window.

Note that the first record in the Customer Browse window is displayed multiple times throughout the entire window.

To properly refresh the Browse window, select the Customer Browse window.

NOTE: Both databases must contain enough records to completely fill their Browse windows when maximized.
