The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 5.0

SUMMARY

In a Microsoft Excel 5.0 chart, when you use the Repeat command on the Edit menu to format error bars, and then attempt to undo error bars by choosing Undo Error Bars from the Edit menu, the error bars will be only partially removed.

This is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

When you create error bars in Microsoft Excel 5.0, you are given the options of creating X Error Bars and Y Error Bars for the selected data series. Because the X and Y error bars are formatted by using separate tabs in the Format Data Series dialog box, you can not undo both operations with the Undo command.
