Insertion Point Scrolls Off Bottom of Screen |
Q111694
If you press ENTER multiple times, when the insertion point reaches the bottom of the screen, Word for Windows scrolls the insertion point off the bottom of the screen instead of advancing the screen.
The Help for WordPerfect Users option is selected in the Tools Options
dialog box, under the General tab. If this option is selected, the WPH mode
indicator on the status bar is active.
After Word scrolls the insertion point off the screen, you can retrieve it
by pressing a character or the SPACEBAR. In other words, only the ENTER key
scrolls the insertion point off the screen.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word for Windows. This problem was corrected in versions 6.0a and later of Word for Windows. To obtain Word 6.0c, call the Microsoft Order Desk at (800) 360-7561 and request the Word 6.0c update. If you are outside the United States, contact your local subsidiary.
