You may be having hardware problems or someone else may be using
the file.
where <drive> is the drive in which your MSPUB directory resides.
RESOLUTION
==========
To rectify this problem, do one of the following two procedures:
1. Re-install Microsoft Publisher 2.0 to the network (SETUP /A).
Set the PUB20ART.IDX and PUB20ART.THM files to Read-Only
before any user runs ClipArt Gallery.
-or-
2. Re-install using Microsoft Publisher 2.0a disks. Publisher

MORE INFORMATION
================
Whenever ClipArt Gallery is run, it automatically looks at the
ARTGALRY.INI file (located in the user's directory, where WIN.COM is
located) for two sections. The [CLIPART] section holds the location
of the current ARTGALRY.IDX and ARTGALRY.THM files. The [IMPORT]
section alerts ClipArt Gallery to new Index (IDX) and Thumbnail (THM)
files that need to be merged into the ARTGALRY.IDX and ARTGALRY.THM
files, respectively. The merge process is needed for ClipArt Gallery
to work correctly.
The first time ClipArt Gallery is run after a network installation
(SETUP /N), it merges PUB20ART.IDX with ARTGALRY.IDX and PUB20ART.THM
with ARTGALRY.THM then deletes both PUB20ART files. The second user
who tries to run ClipArt Gallery will, therefore, have no PUB20ART
files to merge, which results in this error message.
