SYMPTOMS

If you set the printer driver to PostScript and select the page size A3 or 8.5x12, an error message box that says "Variable HORIZPTS not found" with the buttons Cancel, Suspend, and Ignore will be displayed.

If you choose the Ignore button, the error message "Variable 'VERTPTS' not found" will be displayed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in FoxPro version 2.6a for MS-DOS.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

 1. From the File menu, choose Printer Setup.

 2. Select the Printer Driver Setup check box.

 3. Choose the New button.

 4. In the Printers list, select PostScript.

 5. Under Page Size, select A3.

 6. In the Setup Name box, type "PSCRIPT" (without the quotation marks) and
    then choose OK.

 8. In the Printer Driver Setups dialog box, select PSCRIPT.

 9. Choose the Set Default button.

An error message box that says "Variable HORIZPTS not found" with the buttons Cancel, Suspend, and Ignore will be displayed.
