SUMMARY

When you attempt to download a file that already exists, Works for Windows gives you the option to replace the file. If you choose Yes, Works does not replace the file.

Works for Windows downloads the file, but gives it the name <filename>.001, where <filename> is the file's name without the extension. If the file <filename>.001 already exists, Works continues to number the subsequent files in a sequence (that is, 002, 003). Although the file is renamed, it is intact when reopened.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works for Windows version 3.0x. This problem no longer occurs in Works 4.0 and later
