SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project, if you have a large number of tasks and resources in
your project, the Undo command is unavailable when you choose the Edit menu after you make a change to your project. You do not receive a dialog box warning you that when you make a change, the change cannot be undone.
CAUSE
Microsoft Project uses an undo buffer, a file in memory that stores an action you perform so that you can choose to undo that action. The Undo command is unavailable when you perform an action that uses more memory than the undo buffer can hold. If you have a large number of
tasks and resources in your project file, when you perform an action such as dragging a task bar to change the duration or start date, the undo buffer may be exceeded, causing the Undo command to be unavailable.
NOTE: This behavior depends on how much extended memory you have
available on your computer.
