Endnote Styles Not Applied to Converted WordPerfect Endnotes

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you open a WordPerfect 5.1 for MS-DOS or WordPerfect 5.1 or 5.2 for Windows document containing endnotes in Word 6.0 or 6.0a for Windows, the Endnote Reference style is not applied to the converted endnote numbers, and the Endnote Text style is not applied to the converted endnote text.

This problem does not occur with converted footnotes.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the WordPerfect converter supplied with Word versions 6.0 and 6.0a for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.


WORKAROUND

Reapply these styles manually following conversion.
