PRB: Report Property PageFooter Set to "Not With Rpt Ftr"

    Article ID: Q113297
    Creation Date: 31-MAR-1994
    Revision Date: 19-SEP-1996

The information in this article applies to:

    • Microsoft Access versions 1.0 and 1.1

    SYMPTOMS

When you set a report's PageFooter property to Not With Rpt Ftr, the page footer still prints on the last page of the report with the report footer.

    CAUSE

The PageFooter property, if set to Not With Rpt Ftr, was designed to not print the page footer if the report footer is the first section printed on the report.

Note that the PageHeader property works similarly. The PageHeader property, if set to Not With Rpt Ftr, was designed to not print the page header if the report footer is the first section printed on the page.

    RESOLUTION

Setting the report's PageFooter property to Not With Rpt Ftr alone does not prevent the page footer from printing with the report footer.

To keep the page footer from printing with the report footer, set the report footer's ForceNewPage property to Before Section. Alternatively, if the PageHeader property is set to Not With Rpt Ftr, the report footer section is forced to a new page and no page footer section prints.

    STATUS

    This behavior is by design.
