PRJ: Gantt Bar Names Truncated to First 51 Characters

SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project, when you edit Gantt bar styles, although you can
enter more than 51 characters for bar names, only the first 51 characters
entered are actually retained.
Note that a similar 51-character limit exists for the text in the Show
For...Tasks column. Note also that if the last entry in the Show
For...Tasks column after truncating the list to 51 characters is still
valid, Microsoft Project will retain that entry. For example, if you enter
a list of conditions such that the "0" in Flag10 is the fifty-second
character, the result will be a list ending with Flag1.
CAUSE
There is a 51-character limit for bar names.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft
Project listed above.
