------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher version 2.0a ------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== When you are using Publisher and WordArt with Masterpiece TrueType fonts from Attitude Inc., the following error may occur: WordArt caused a General Protection Fault in Module MSPUB.EXE This error occurs with the following Masterpiece fonts: - Aspen - Chill - Country Club - Doorjamb This problem does not occur with Publisher 2.0, due to the way the Publisher 2.0 WordArt kerns the fonts. RESOLUTION ========== 1. Create a WordArt Frame. 2. From the Format menu, choose Spacing Between Characters. 3. Turn Automatically Kern Character Pairs off (clear the box). 4. Select the font. MORE INFORMATION ================ The WordArt version that ships with Publisher 2.0 does not kern fonts that are being edited in a WordArt session. This problem was corrected in WordArt 2.0a, which ships with Works 3.0 and Word for Windows 6.0, and in WordArt 2.0b, which ships with Publisher 2.0a. However, some of the fonts shipped with Masterpiece Fonts will not adhere to the kerning of the newer releases of WordArt 2.0. In WordArt 2.0a, you will receive the following error message: Integer Divide by Zero error message.
