SUMMARY

This article describes the OutputAs library utility that is available on the Microsoft Software Library (MSL). You can use this library utility to output a report to a file in Microsoft Access.

You can use the OutputAs library utility to save a report to a file, instead of printing or previewing it. This utility adds a Save Report As command to your copy of Microsoft Access, so you can output your report in any of the following formats:

  • BIFF (Binary file format, used by Microsoft Excel version 3.0 and later)
  • RTF (Rich-text format, a Microsoft standard document interchange format)
  • ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange format, a text-only format)

     ~ OUTPUT.EXE (size: 188671 bytes) 
                  is available for download from the Microsoft Software
