PRJ4: Remaining Work Not Equal to 0 Setting Actual Equal to Work |
Q113721
In Microsoft Project, when you assign multiple resources to a task, and the resource work values are not the same, if you enter a value for Actual work, and then enter the same value for Work, Remaining Work is not equal to 0.
This is caused by an error in rounding. This problem occurs when you enter a value for Actual work that is less than the Work value, and then you enter the same value for Work.
To avoid rounding errors when you enter Work and Actual work values, when Actual work value is less than the Work value, enter the Work value first, and then enter the Actual work value.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
