The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSAlthough the file type is not checked when a file is added to the Catalog Manager, the following error message will appear when an attempt is made to open the file from within the catalog:
RESOLUTIONTo avoid this problem, make sure that the extension of the file to be added to the Catalog Manager is valid for the selected category. Additionally, avoid renaming files from one extension to another valid yet incorrect file type extension, such as "RENAME myfile.CDX TO myfile.DBF".
