PRJ4: Scaling Option Cannot Exceed 100 Percent

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, the Page Setup option to scale output to a specific width and height of pages will only scale to a maximum of 100 percent. The scaling feature is not designed to enlarge, but will only reduce the file.

NOTE: The Fit To Page option in the Page Setup dialog box is only available if you are using a PostScript printer.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. In a new project, type in 35 or more tasks (this will yield a default size of about 1.5 pages tall by 1.5 pages wide).


  2. From the File menu, choose Print Preview.


  3. Choose the Page Setup option.


  4. In the Fit To box, specify a page that is 5 pages wide by 5 pages tall.


  5. Choose OK.


The preview is 100-percent size instead of 200-percent larger than the original preview.
