PRB: "Page, Pages Properties" Help Topic Misleading

    Article ID: Q114219
    Creation Date: 27-APR-1994
    Revision Date: 19-SEP-1996

The information in this article applies to:

    • Microsoft Access version 2.0

    SYMPTOMS

Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.

The "Usage" section of the "Page, Pages Properties" Help system topic correctly states that the Page and Pages properties are not available in Design view. However, it then states:

In other views, the Page property is read/write and the Pages
       property is read-only.

    RESOLUTION

This sentence is misleading, because these properties are available only when you are printing or previewing. Therefore, for forms, the Page and Pages properties are not available in Form or Datasheet views.

NOTE: The Help topic for Microsoft Access for Windows 95 correctly states that these properties are only available in Print Preview or when printing.
