This problem may occur if you enter a date that is outside the range of dates accepted by Money or an invalid date such as 2/31/95. This problem may also occur if you enter a date in a format that is different than the short date format set in Control Panel.

For example, if the Control Panel date format is set on YY/MM/DD (94/15/5) and you try to enter the date in a MM/DD/YY format (5/15/94), you will receive the error message that is listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article.

RESOLUTION

Make sure that you enter a valid date in your version of Money's date range. If your date is in this range, check your Date Format settings in Control Panel.
