ACC: Avoid Using Different Palettes for Simultaneous Forms

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Access, forms have a property called PaletteSource that you can use to create a different color scheme for each form. However, if you display multiple forms on the screen simultaneously, Microsoft Access recommends that you set the palettes of all the forms to the same colors.

Microsoft Windows can only display one color palette at a time. If multiple forms that use different color palettes are displayed at the same time, only the active form's colors will be correct because the background forms will be forced to use the active form's color palette. This also occurs with multiple images on one form.

To prevent this, make sure that all images that will be displayed simultaneously use the same color palette. Another way to avoid this behavior is to hide background forms when they are not active.
