SYMPTOMS
Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.
The Microsoft Access Help topic "Links Command (Edit Menu)" incorrectly
states that the Links command is available only if links exist in the
selected object or field. This information is incorrect.
RESOLUTION
The Links command is available in a table's Datasheet view, a form's
Datasheet or Form view, and a form or report's Design view, even if there
are no links on the active object.
STATUS
This behavior no longer occurs in Microsoft Access for Windows 95
version 7.0.
MORE INFORMATION
The Links command is kept available in order to improve performance by
enabling Microsoft Access to not have to load OLE routines to determine
whether the current object is linked every time the Edit menu is opened.
With the Links command always available, no checking is required until
the Links command is chosen.
