How to Obtain the Microsoft FoxPro Knowledge Base Help File

Microsoft Technical Support regularly extracts the most current Microsoft Knowledge Base articles from the FoxPro databases and creates a Windows Help file from this extract. Microsoft then posts the file to the Microsoft Software Library.

This Help file for FoxPro is named FOXKB.EXE and contains all Microsoft FoxPro Knowledge Base articles published between 7-Feb-1994 and 29-Apr-1994 and Application Notes, buglists, fixlists, and FastTips Questions & Answers for versions 2.5 and later.

How to Obtain FOXKB.EXE

Download FOXKB.EXE, a self-extracting file, from the Microsoft Software Library (MSL) on the following services:

  • Microsoft Download Service (MSDL)

          Dial (206) 936-6735 to connect to MSDL
          Download FOXKB.EXE (size: 731970 bytes) 
    
  • Internet (anonymous FTP)

          ftp ftp.microsoft.com
          Change to the SOFTLIB\MSLFILES directory
          Get FOXKB.EXE (size: 731970 bytes) 
    

After downloading FOXKB.EXE, run it to extract the files it contains.
