SUMMARY

Microsoft Money determines which tax table (TAX.TBL) file to use based on the Country setting in the International section (Regional Settings in Windows 95) of the Control Panel. (For example, if your country is set on United States, Money will use the TAX.TBL file that contains tax information for the United States.)

Microsoft Money has tax table information for three countries:

United States
Canada

NOTE: Microsoft Money 3.0 includes Australia.

There are two ways you can change the TAX.TBL file being used by Microsoft Money:

Workaround 1

Rename or delete the TAX.TBL file located in your Microsoft Money folder/directory.
Change the international (Regional) settings in the Control Panel to the Correct Country settings. (For example, from United States to Canada.)
Reinstall Microsoft Money.

Money will now use tax information for Canada instead of the United States.

Workaround 2

In File Manager or Windows Explorer in Windows 95, rename the TAX.TBL file to TAX.OLD.
Select the TAX.TBL file you want to use.
- TAXAUS.TBL - Australia
- TAXCAN.TBL - Canada
- TAXUSA.TBL - USA

Then copy that file to TAX.TBL. (For example, copy TAXCAN.TBL to TAX.TBL.)

Money will now use the tax table for Canada.
