Exception Violation in LMSVCS.EXE with TCP/IP

SYMPTOMS

When a Windows NT workstation using TCP/IP logs on to a Windows NT Advanced Server on the same physical network, but on a different sub-net, an exception violation occurs in LMSVCS.EXE on the server.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
