  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 5.0
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel, when you use the Scenario Manager to add a scenario, you cannot add a value for the changing cells in the Scenario Values dialog box by selecting a cell on your worksheet; you must type in the value using the keyboard.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

In Microsoft Excel version 4.0, when you use the Scenario Manager, you can add values for the changing cells in a scenario by clicking on the worksheet behind the dialog box. However, in Microsoft Excel versions 5.0 and 7.0, you must type the values for each of the changing cells directly into the Scenario Values dialog box.
